on land and at sea

bit of a varied weekend - a wander round Bridlington harbour before the first of the Autumn Highlight cruises (we used to call them Skua in the 'old' days :)).  We did manage a couple of Skuas but the highlight for me was the Puffin - you expected no less!!

Then a trip to Tophill Low, I'd not been for a couple of years so it was great to see all the improvements - wonderful new viewing hide and some nice new paths.  Three Little Egrets to start with, a second visit to The hide and I got the Kingfisher - wowee after all these years.  A bonus was a Buzzard fly past being mobbed by gulls and making its feelings know - it was only out for a Sunday afternoon glide.......

Plenty of insect life to occupy the walk between hides....
