A weekend of waves.....

What a busy few days.... (and early starts!!).  Kicked off with a whale watch cruise from Staithes with Yorkshire Coast Nature - had some close Porpoise but no whales.  They could have well been there but was too busy laughing trying to stay on my feet whilst wearing oversized oilskins - great fun and stayed dry!!  I did learn a lot about the jet, iron ore and alum mining whilst enjoying the calm of Brunswick Bay - and made some new friends.

Yesterday was an amazing and inspirational day at Moorsview - 5 brilliant photographers (including our very own Steve Race, Joe Cornish and Robert E Fuller) shared their photos and hints/tips over the course of the day.  A lot to learn!!  And will certainly be visiting the full exhibition when it opens at the Danby Moor Centre in October.

Today was the second RSPB cruise out to sea - improved on last week with Arctic Skua, Great Skua and Manx Shearwater plus a gang of juvenile Gannets practising their diving skills at the back of the boat.  To round off the trip the Red Arrows did a fly past as we arrived back in Bridlington!!
