A 'twitch' to Filey Dams

don't generally do 'twitching' but as the weather had turned good - set off.............and had great views of a very hungry Spoonbill, totally ignored by the resident geese, so after several snacks it fell asleep on one leg!

lilies on the way back to the car

and just in case you thought I had gone off puffins, some from yesterdays very wet and slightly bouncy cruise

A day for the Wetlands...

Had a great day at North Cave Wetlands - and that means more than the bacon and egg butty....   a great surprise was a star performance of the Black Necked Grebes coming right in front of the hide - the Avocets were a little distant and flighty...  Gadwall, Great Crested Grebe and Little Ringed Plover also obliged for the photographer!!  And a Moorhen and chicks provided the laughs..
