A day away from the coast (but still near water!!)

With a strong wind and clear blue skies todays destination was North Cave wetlands - in search of avocets and anything else we could find!!

The Avocets were found - but a bit distant!!

A Great Crested Grebe posed .....

 

Lapwing resting between dances....

and a Redshank tried to escape its shadow...
