Sea, Skye and moors....

Just back from a wonderful week in the Highlands, with a visit to Skye as well!!  Great company, food and birds.  Highlight for me was a boat trip from Portree and a Caper before breakfast (yes I do get up early sometimes!!).

the week just gone

Been a good week for the garden breakfast list - Blackcap, Brambling and Siskin all before 7am!!!

 
Today I managed a walk round South Landing, a wonderful obliging (well almost) Long-tailed tit; a Great Spotted Woodpecker that flew to fast to photograph (well thats my excuse!!).

At Bempton RSPB today

A good afternoon at Bempton today, Puffins a little hard to find but there were some there, Guillemots and Razorbills, preening, checkin gout the distance to the sea below - and the Peregrine was causing chaos around New Roll-Up viewpoint.  A final reward on the walk back a Barn Owl hunting close to the box near the centre.
