Cruising the waves .................

Had a great cruise today, first went up to Bempton and then pottered around to see what we could find......  Little Gulls, Guillemot, even a Puffin!!  Bonxie and Manx Shearwater, not brill photos but you get the idea!!

and then headed to Bempton for Tea with Gannets.....

A prickly visitor

this little chap has spent the day wandering around my lawn - the ladybird got away...

We finally managed to get a Storm petrel at about 1am after a fine evening on the beach...

the last puffin cruise of the season (and then another one)

It was the final RSPB puffin cruise of 2011 yesterday - and more puffins on the sea than I have seen for years.  In fact it was so good that I went out again today - not quite so many but still impressive - and diving gannets too...........
