thought I would have a change as this obliging Sedge Warbler at Bempton was posing in the sun
the cruise on Saturday had to be shortened due to the swell making life on the ocean wave a bit rocky - the swell was obviously still there today...
well, I didn't promise no puffins did I, they are beginning to leave but enough remain to bring a smile at the end of a busy weekend..

and you do get more than seabirds at Bempton... fledging blue tit and a shy sedge warbler...

Definitely on the wing...
a brilliant day at Bempton, the Puffin Patrols all found Puffins.....
gannets landed on the wrong nest....
or flew past checking things out
and a Guillemot chick looked to see what the big wide world was like

a Friday night Puffin fest..
a late evening walk to the Head produced lots of puffins
the RSPB cruise on Saturday was a bit rough but managed to catch this hungry razorbill....
