the week just gone

Been a good week for the garden breakfast list - Blackcap, Brambling and Siskin all before 7am!!!

Today I managed a walk round South Landing, a wonderful obliging (well almost) Long-tailed tit; a Great Spotted Woodpecker that flew to fast to photograph (well thats my excuse!!).

After flight and a scratch - finally a pose

the squirrel was hungry eyeing up the feeding station

and to finish a touch of Spring

At Bempton RSPB today

A good afternoon at Bempton today, Puffins a little hard to find but there were some there, Guillemots and Razorbills, preening, checkin gout the distance to the sea below - and the Peregrine was causing chaos around New Roll-Up viewpoint.  A final reward on the walk back a Barn Owl hunting close to the box near the centre.

And finally - a posing Blue Tit

different

Two (short) walks this weekend - on Saturday took a pheasant for a walk around the Headland - must have been hand-reared and thought I was taking it to food....

Sunday - went on a YWT walk to show the work that has been done around North Landing and Thornwick - and quite a lot there was to see including some of the local wildlife helping out by keeping the vegetation low...

and to finish - a Dunnock posing....
