the first photographable puffin..

well - near enough to attempt a photo....

which felt strange with snowdrops on the cliff top

there have been hares in the field for a while ....

if the puffins were still at sea, the razorbills and guillemots were investigating the cliffs..



and the kittiwakes already settled

keep the wildlife away

there is a rule that you stay 5 metres away from the wildlife - shame no-one told them!!

the frozen south...

A New Years Day

and a very wet one it is!!  So had to content myself with taking photos of the geese resident on the temporary lake in the field and a Sparrowhawk doing its usual trick of pretending not to get caught in the bush....

Christmas @ 28

A jolly good Christmas all round....  the snow lay, the squirrels performed, and a fieldfare ate the apples - fighting any blackbird that came within sniffing distance....

and a walk along the riverside produced a Heron and some snowy landscapes

got distracted on the way to work....

the snow is back....

and boy, is it back...............
