A Day around the Head

It started with a bit of sea-watching, a few Arctic Skuas, Gulls and Gannets. - and a Wheatear!!   Good to catch up with the gang!!

The Imperialist and the Madeleine Isabella provided a bit of a distraction - especially when they had to get the oars out

I then walked round to South Landing to join in with the RNLI Fun Day 

 It was a case of one off - one on - with flares!!

And then the Coastguard appeared and another one on - one off!!  And a lot of down draft from the 'copter!!

A lovely gentle walk around the Esplanade last night. - so something a bit different for me!!  (but we did meet a clever pooch!!)

A few diving Gannets and a Puffin!!

Had a top up on the ol' diving Gannets this weekend, with trips on the Yorkshire Belle and the Yorkshire Lass II. (think there is some synergy there:))   With a surprise in the form of a Puffin - complete with sand eels (?) - very late for August but then again one turned in a garden in Buckton this weekend!!  And always nice to see one of the cables out for a spin.   No more trips planned so you are safe for a while - until the skua/shearwater ones start!!
