Can you believe the weather today!!
Wow, what a difference to yesterday - and migration definately underway - swallows and house martins pouring in, wheatear, lesser whitethroat, willow warbler, chiffchaff and a very mobile redstart...

Bempton on a very very windy day
Visited Bempton with my australian niece yesterday.... the wind was strong - like skydiving............ WOW!!
The wind had obviousy got to the gannets temper..
but the puffins managed to find a quiet spot

Up close and personal at Bempton...
Another gannet fest. from Bempton - they were certainly on form today, puffins playing their usual hard to get flying in and out, but even they were in on the grass collecting act....

between the showers...
Had some good birding through the window (and the hail stones) with a W Warbler and the Great Tits trying out the nest box, think one thought it was a woodpecker!! Managed to get to the Head and back with a seal enjoying an afternoon snack... and a Turnstone wandering the edge of the cliff...
